Browser compatibility

V1 Project Accounting has been developed to support 2 of the most popular Internet browsers in use today, these being Microsoft Internet Explorer for PCs and Apple Safari for Macs.

Our development team use standards compliant code to ensure that these browsers offer our clients an optimum user experience.

Warning! Check with your company IT support team before downloading new versions of an Internet browser.

Note: We recommend that Compatibility View should not be in enabled in Internet Explorer 8, 9, and 10 as this will restrict the system's functionality.

How to disable Internet Explorer's compatibility view:

Internet Explorer has a Compatibility View, a feature that affects how some websites are displayed. Compatibility View causes V1 Project Accounting to behave incorrectly. To help make sure that both systems work properly, you need to remove secure.V1ProjectAccounting.com from your list of sites that have Compatibility View enabled. To do this, follow the steps below:

For IE8 users:

  1. Open the Tools menu at the top of your browser1 and select Compatibility View Settings.
  2. Select secure.V1ProjectAccounting.com under "Websites you've added to Compatibility View.
  3. Click Remove.
  4. At the bottom of the window, make sure that the box next to "Display all websites in Compatibility View" and "Display intranet sites in Compatibility View" is not checked.
  5. Click Close. The page you're on will refresh and display in normal IE8 mode.

For IE9 users:

  1. Right-click on the gear icon  in the upper right hand corner, next to the "favorites" star icon. (If you don't see this gear icon or your "File" and "Tools" menus at the top of your window, press your F10 key to make them show.)
  2. Select Command bar.
  3. Open the Tools menu near the top of your browser and select Compatibility View Settings.
  4. Select secure.V1ProjectAccounting.com under "Websites you've added to Compatibility View.
  5. Click Remove.
  6. At the bottom of the window, make sure that the box next to "Display all websites in Compatibility View" and "Display intranet sites in Compatibility View" is not checked.
  7. Click Close. The page you're on will refresh and display in normal IE9 mode.

For IE10 users:

  1. Open Internet Explorer in the desktop.
  2. Press the Alt key to display the Menu bar (or press and hold the Address bar and then select Menu bar).
The page you're on will refresh and display in normal IE10 mode.

  • Note: If your Windows computer is administered by your organisation, you may not be able to access Compatibility View Settings. Please contact your IT administrator or helpdesk as they may have used a Windows group policy setting to set this parameter for you.

    That's it, you're done!

    Safari for Mac

For Mac users, we recommend using Safari v5.1.7 or above. Download the latest version of Safari for use on an Apple Mac.
