Project Custom Fields import format

Below is an example of where the imported data is taken from and how this will appear in the downloaded file.

1. All custom fields that appear in the downloadable file are taken from the Admin > Company Settings > Custom Fields > Projects section.

2. The column headers will appear in the order they have been entered in custom field section.

3. The table below shows the import format required for importing each type of Project custom field.

An asterisk (*) indicates the field is mandatory.

A	Project Code *	The reference code for the project.	Text	Any combination of numbers, characters and punctuation.	This Project Code must exist	Free text field. Project code must exist in Projects
B	Single-Line Text	Single line entry field on the relevant screen which will allow data to be entered in any character format.	Text	Any combination of numbers, characters and punctuation.	Not Applicable	Free text field. If more than 4000 characters are entered in this field they will not be imported.
C	Multi-Line Text	Multi-line entry field on the relevant screen with a scroll bar which will allow the entry of up to 4000 characters in any format.	Text	Any combination of numbers, characters and punctuation.	Not Applicable	Free text field. If more than 4000 characters are entered in this field they will not be imported.
D	Number	Box on the relevant screen which will allow only numbers to be entered.	Number	Whole number	Any number between -999,999,999,999,999 and 999,999,999,999,999.	Numeric field. If decimal places are used they will be rounded to one decimal place.
E	Date	Calendar on the relevant screen to allow a date to be selected.	Date	DD/MM/YYYY OR DD-MM-YYYY OR DD.MM.YYYY OR DD MM YYYY OR DD/MM/YY OR DD-MM-YY OR DD.MM.YY OR DD MM YY	Must be between 1/1/1900 and 1/1/2079 If using a 2 digit year, less than 50 will mean 20xx more than or equal to 50 implies 19xx Must be a real date (e.g. not 31-February)	1/3/2007 OR 1-3-2007 OR 1.3.2007 OR 1 3 2007 OR 01/03/2007 OR 01-03-2007 OR 01.03.2007 OR 01 03 2007
F	Single-Select List	One item can be selected from the Project Custom Field list.	Text	Any combination of numbers, characters and punctuation.	The value must be present within your Admin > Company Settings > Custom Fields > Projects section	Free text field.
G	Multi-Select List	Multiple items can be selected on the relevant screen.	Text	Any combination of numbers, characters and punctuation.	The value(s) must be present within your Admin > Company Settings > Custom Fields > Projects section To select more than one value, please seperate each item with a (,).	Free text field.
