Security Profiles

In a nutshell: security profiles allow you to restrict access to certain projects for particular users.

This is useful if your organisation is made up of teams working on particular projects. Security profiles allow you to configure access rules for projects so that teams will only be able to see projects they are a part of.

Security Profiles are independent of security groups. This means you can have a two users that belong to the same security group, but give each of them different access to certain projects.

Security Profiles are maintained via Admin > Project Settings > Security Profiles.

Creating a Security Profile

  1. In the section called Security Profiles, Click the   button and enter a name for your security profile

  2. Once you have created the security profile you can assign users and set VIEW and EDIT permissions

Multi-Project Resourcing Settings

To Restrict Task resourcing by Security Profiles, tick the box in this section.

Enabling this functionality, will reduce the number of tasks in the Cross-Project Task Assignment screen to match the security profile in the project.

This functionality will apply to all users that have access to the Multi-Project Resourcing tab.
