This feature allows you to quickly copy your time and expense budgets previously created via the Estimates Time budget calculator and Expense budget calculator to your resource plans and expense forecasts.
Copying is completed via Projects > Estimates > Copy Estimates to Forecast.
Select the Copy Estimates to Forecast option from the top command line.
Select whether to copy Time or Expense budgets.
Select Tasks against which you wish to copy budgets to forecast and click Next.
Select the Items you wish to copy and click Next.
Review the Confirmation of resource budgets to copy.
Tasks that have
no budgets will be listed with the option to Delete
any existing forecasts.
If you wish to do this, check the delete tick box against the appropriate
tasks.
Click Finish to complete the copy of budgets to forecasts.
You will be returned to the Estimates screen.
Forecasts will now be available for further adjustments via the Work Structure / Gantt screens (for time resourcing) and Expense Forecasts (for expense forecasting).
